La Boulangerie is seeking a friendly, energetic, and reliable Front of House Team Member to join our growing company. Our mission is to bring authentic French baking into everyday life. About the Role
As a Front of House Team Member, you will be the face of La Boulangerie. From setting up the store each morning to preparing specialty beverages, serving customers, and maintaining a clean and organized environment, you will play a vital role in delivering the experience our guests love. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role that requires energy, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for hospitality.
Responsibilities
Store Opening & Setup
- Prepare the lobby area including chairs, tables, and service stations for daily operations
- Stock and rotate pastry display cases, ensuring correct dating, labeling, and presentation standards
- Restock all supplies including water, cups, napkins, silverware, and refrigerators before opening
- Place utensils and service items in their designated spots for the shift
Customer Service & Beverage Production
- Greet and assist customers in a warm, friendly, and professional manner
- Describe menu items, ingredients, and specialty products to help customers make selections
- Prepare and serve hot and cold specialty beverages including coffee, blended drinks, and tea, customizing orders as requested
- Process customer payments accurately using the POS system
Production & Preparation
- Prepare beverages and food items for online and pre-orders accurately and on time
- Complete prep tasks including cold brew concentrate, quiche cutting, cold foam, and syrups as needed throughout the shift
- Enter item counts accurately into the POS device
Sanitation & Compliance
- Clean and sanitize all equipment, utensils, dishes, and work areas continuously throughout the shift
- Monitor and log temperatures for freezers, refrigerators, and heating equipment
- Perform cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dishwashing, and recycling throughout the shift
Communication & Teamwork
- Proactively communicate stock needs and product availability to team members and management
- Coordinate with the Baker to stay informed of freshly baked and day-old product availability
- Support fellow team members during rush periods and cover tasks as needed
- Report operational concerns and customer feedback to the Shift Leader promptly
Requirements
- At least one year of barista or food service experience preferred
- Clear, friendly communication and excellent customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to remain composed and efficient during high-traffic service periods
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and payments
- High school diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of standing throughout the shift
- Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs
- Availability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
Schedule
- Part-Time or Full-Time — flexible depending on candidate availability
- Rotating shifts
- Monday through Sunday availability preferred
- On-site

- Starting at minimum wage, plus tips through shared tip pool
